I witnessed someone catching 16 Tollostolob today, on the dam wall on rod and line and almost all hooked in the mouth. I don’t agree with the method he used and he himself said this was not sport but was basically fishing for food.
But, be aware, I caught 2 Tollostolob from peg 4, plus carp.
Smile, it’s all for fun :)

  1. Hello,
nice to find you here and also that you are working on getting the UK guys familiar with fishing in Bulgaria.
Hopefully one day i can be a host of a competition and we have fun and raise charity money some day.

    regards:
    Marin

  2. Hiya Marin and welcome.
We have a great scene here with regard to the match fishing etc. and have met some really nice people. Most, if not all, have become good friends of ours whether they be Brit or Bulgarian. The only grumpy bugger here is normally me! :)
A charity match is a great idea and we’d be more than pleased to host such an event. The best guys to contact for that would be Rado and Vlado who have both posted on here somewhere.
Our matches are held on most Sundays, weather permitting so if you’re in the area on a nice Sunday, come along and meet the guys.

    Paul.

  4. No problem Marin.

  5. Make sure i will. Meanwhile you can check my website http://carpangler.co.cc/ and join the forum if you like it. I am checking and updating info everyday and will be glad to post about your activity. Anyone that has the same hobby among your friends is welcome too. Not much people in the forum to chat with but it is a new project – about a month old. Hopefully with your help and other expats` also we can have a community of carp anglers here.

    cheers,
    Marin
