I’m looking forward to a good season’s match fishing this year.

The grass carp introduced last year should be packing the weight on in the coming months and catch weights could go through the roof if someone gets stuck into them.

The lake has been netted a few times since November, but in truth, not a lot of fish have been removed.
Tollostolob have been the main catch from the nets along with a few carp. Rado will be pleased to learn that a good number of the 5 kilo class toolostolob have been removed, probably 10 to 15 of them have gone to market along with quite a number of smaller 1 to 2 kilo tollostolob.
Approximately 10 to 15 carp have also been removed, mainly in the 2 to 3 kilo range with the largest at 10 kilo.
It’s a shame the 10 kilo biggie was removed as I’m sure there are a number of Brits who would have targetted that size fish and paid for the priviledge to do so (it’ll realise about 50 lev at market). Oh well.

With a bit of luck, I’ll have the dates for the series by the end of this month. Right now it looks like it will run from the end of June and into August.
If I can work out this website thingy I’ll dedicate a posting/thread solely to the series….. watch this space.

Have fun,
Slaps.
