  1. hi paul
cant remember if i sent e-mail last week,
me and my dad will be fishing this coming sunday,
he has now got nets sorted but no box yet,any chance he can use your spare one please,
also what is bulgarian for wheat if thats what we need for loose feed,i will try to get some this week in kavarna.
i will be making some new rigs this week as well just to confirm house bank 3-4 foot and dam wall 6 – 8 foot,
what about a pairs match, one angler from each pair picks a house bank swim and all the partners get the dam wall, could even draw the pairings from a hat as well,
    sound interesting?
    see you both sunday

  2. Hi mark.
Thanks for the response and of course your dad can borrow a box. You did email last week by the way.
Wheat in BG is Jito (pronounced zh as in Dr Zhivago). I’ll be doing a bucket load so there should be enough here for you if you wish.
I like the idea of a pairs match, especially if we made it Brit and BG per pair but drawn randomly. Maybe not this week though.
Your rigs look about right to me. Mine are normally 0.16 straight through and in the region of 0.75 to 1.5 gram (maybe larger dependant on wind).
    See you Sunday,
    Paul.

    hi paul
forgot to mention any of the two above for my pairs partner, lol

  5. Of course you can Mark. Well, if Lisa ok’s it :)
I soak the wheat for about 12 hrs then bring it to the boil. Once it boils, turn off the heat and allow it to cool. Voila, perfect wheat for feed and hook if you so wish.
I don’t add flavours but you can if you wish. Personally I don’t think there’s a need but if it makes you feel better…………

    Paul.

    Hi Paul

I am coming over to BG again on 14th October for 2 weeks. Could you please let me know if you have any matches booked during that time as I would like to attend

    Alan

  8. Hi Alan. Sorry for the delayed reply.
I should find out on Sunday which dates I need to avoid for near term matches, I don’t want to clash with our Varna, ‘Go Fish’ friends as they enjoy coming here too.
Our match calendar will be updated early next week.
Are you bringing a pole with you? I reckon it’ll become a standby weapon as the water temperature continues to drop.

    Hi Paul

Not bringing any kit this time but a friend is bringing over a pole, rods and a new box for me in November ready for next year

  10. October Matches will be Sundays the 10th, 17th and 24th October.

I’m considering holding a ‘series’ next year which I’d hope would cover late Spring to early Summer. The format would be something along the lines of 6 matches in the series with the angler’s best 4 results to count in the points. In case of a tie after collating the best 4 results, then result 5 and 6 would be used in that order as deciders.
For a series I’d like as many regulars as possible to be available so if you think you’d like to join in let me know soonest what dates you are here and I’ll work something out. Failing that, I’ll just schedule it anyway.
There will also be a pairs competition, it’s a bit late to do it this year unless people think otherwise.

Sponsors will be welcomed with open arms. :)
